My Purple Skies

Skies of a sad, sad blue,
Tell the story of me with you,
I will get over this very soon,
At least you're not across the room…

Tell me a story,
About a world far away,
Where everything is happy,
Not a deep shade of grey…

Now my skies are purple,
Because I'm rid of you,
Not quite as clear as day,
But, so much better too…

We are very over,
And that's okay you'll see,
Because I prefer purple,
To the blue skies of you and me…
